SAINSBURY’S has revealed its 15 Valentine’s Day three-course-meal deal, including steak and Gu cheesecake.
Couples can treat themselves to a starter, main course, dessert and a drink as part of the supermarket’s romantic special offer.
Starters include a Taste the Difference Antipasto selection, a scallop gratin and Scottish mussels in white wine.
For the main, shoppers can choose from seven options including sirloin or rump steak with a pat of heart shaped butter, Scottish Salmon en Croute and slow-cooked Coq au Vin.
There are plenty of sides available such as triple cooked chips, truffle mash, and potato dauphinoise.
Finish off with a Gu salted caramel cheese cake or a chocolate melting pudding.
Sainsbury’s is offering a number of alcoholic options to go with your romantic meal, including a bottle of Malbec or a sparking rose wine.
You could opt for the soft choice with Fentimans ginger beer or Bottlegreen elderflower and raspberry.
The range will be available in store from February 9 until March 1 – you can find your nearest Sainsbury’s branch here.
We compared how much one of the meals would cost you now, to see if you will make a saving with the deal.
You can currently get the antipasto for 3.25, two rump steaks with garlic butter for 3.50 and two Gu cheesecakes for 2 on Sainsbury’s website.
With a bottle of Malbec, which is currently 7.50, the total meal would set you back 16.25 – a saving of 1.25.
We’ve asked what happens if the total value of your meal is less than 15, and we’ll update this when we have more details.
Last year Sainsbury’s ran a 20 or less offer, which was available between February 10 and February 14.
Asda is already stocking gifts for loved-up couples ahead of Valentine’s Day, with a 1 engagement ring hitting stores earlier this week.
Poundland is also selling a 1 engagement ringas it has done in previous years.
It first launched the Bling Ring range in 2019 and it sparked a debate on social media.
