My date sued me after I threw out his $30 sweatpants

WOULD you sue someone over a $30 pair of pants?

One man allegedly went to small claims court after his date borrowed a pair of sweatpants and later threw them away.

Cheyenne Adler shared a video on social media explaining her New York City disaster date story.

Adler claimed she had borrowed a pair of sweatpants from a guy while staying at his place, and then later wore them home.

After realizing she had gotten her period and stained the sweatpants, she decided to just “trash ’em.”

In a comment, Adler noted the cheap price of the pants, saying they “were only like $30 sweats!”

A few months later, the two had gone their separate ways but little did she know, things weren’t over just yet.

Adler was allegedly being sued in small claims court over the sweatpants.

One comment on the video said, “I’m surprised the court didn’t just laugh at his case, anything under a certain amount of money isn’t worth pursuing.”

Another said, “It probably cost him more to file the claim than the sweats were worth.”

And one user even advised, “for future reference, hydrogen peroxide gets blood stains out,” in which Adler replied, “My 22-year-old self thought tossing them was the better option, clearly not.”

Adler followed up her story with a longer, more detailed sit-down explanation.

Adler claimed that her date never asked about the sweatpants while they were talking, but when they split, she said he wouldn’t stop contacting her about them.

The woman chose not to respond to him, as she said: “He was being a little weird about these sweatpants and it was freaking me out.”

Six months after they had split, he texted her a photo of a court document that said she was being sued in small claims court.

“I didn’t think it was really that important to tell him (about the stain) the first time we hung out because it was kind of embarrassing and who wants to tell someone that?” said Adler.

Allegedly, Adler said she never even knew there was a case against her, so she assumed the man won since she was not in attendance.

“All over some $30 Nike sweatpants,” Adler said to end her video.

In another disaster date story, one woman shared how her friend went on a first date in Toronto where the man continuously got up from their table to flirt with another table full of girls.
