Up and running
Emma Raducanu had a really testing first-round match on paper against 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens.
But she stormed out of the blocks to take the first set in just 17 minutes and was arguably even more impressive in taking the final set after Stephens looked to gain the upper hand.
She hasn’t had the best run since winning in New York last September, but maybe a win like that can rekindle the magic.
Raducanu will be expected to win today and potentially set up a tasty third round clash against No 14 seed Romanian Simona Halep.
