After telling Jermaine and co-host Alex Jones about some of their exploits in Hungary in the new series, the pair got a bit of a shock when they were told some viewers had got in touch to complain.

Jermaine said: “The viewers have been in touch tonight about this and there’s a bit of outrage actually.”

He then read out a viewer’s comment which said: “It’s a great show but why only half and hour, you need to make it an hour show?”

Bradley, 61, hit back: “That’s to do with the length of the slot, that’s pure and simply to do with the length of the slot – you know what I mean.

“Because it’s a travel show we get allocated a 30 minute slot and that’s the slot it’s got to fit in.”

Barney, 24, added: “We get up to a lot of stuff and it’s tough to cram everything we do into half an hour.

“Obviously not everything makes the show, but we’ve done four seasons now, we’ve done a Christmas show and we did an extra bits, showing clips that were missed out fro season three.”

Bradley then joked about the toll’s challenges take on him: “Any more or any longer then I’d be bang in trouble. I’ve had so many nine lives, I’m like a cat.”

Their appearance on the show comes after Bradley left fans fearing he would be quitting TV in the near future.

During a bloopers episode of The Chase, he said: “We make 210 Chases, 16 Celebrity Chases, 16 Beat The Chasers. Its only actually 86 days recording.

“So out of 365 days, youd imagine I have loads of time off. But once youve got your bedrock of shows set in, that allows you then to go off and do other things.”

He continued: “I don’t actually have time off, I have meetings, I have personal appearances I have to make and stuff like that with other things Ive got going on, so its quite tricky to juggle it about.

“You know what? In a couple of years time I wont have to do any of it, Ill be retired and thatll be it.”
